Servant Award—Ironic and Iconic

The last thing that humble Christian servants want is attention for their service. But since Christian service is precisely what DCC wants to inculcate, it is fitting that there be an award that honors a servant’s attitude and behavior. Thus, we have the Servant Award, instituted in the 1990s and determined by vote of the students alone, without faculty/staff input, honoring the student who most clearly exemplifies Jesus’ service to others. Dozens of Students Honored in Chapel

DALLAS, Texas- Whether the school be giant or tiny, excellence emerges and deserves proper recognition. At the annual Honors Chapel this year, fifty students were honored. In a student body of roughly three hundred, that’s a high percentage of honorees, indicative of the spirit of Christian influence that DCC hopes to inculcate. DCC Vice President Mark Worley Receives Lifetime Service Award

  In 1981 Dallas Christian College brought on young Mark Worley to be the Director of Admissions. Over the years Mark has made DCC his home and made those apart of the DCC community his family. On June 1st he will celebrate 35 years at DCC. In his time here he has served as the Director of Admissions, Vice President of Student Development, and currently Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
